Basketball legend and flat-Earth-dabbler Shaquille O’Neal has revealed another odd belief he thinks might be true – the world doesn’t spin.
O’Neal, who won the NBA four times, in 2017 said he thought the world was flat – citing the fact when he drives from Florida to California, “it’s flat to me”.
“You mean to tell me that China is under us? China is under us? It’s not. The world is flat,” he told his The Big Podcast With Shaq co-host John Kincade. He later reportedly claimed he was just joking.
But five years later, he’s still propping up the “theory”, Newsweek reports.
Not only is it apparently flat, it doesn’t spin. After arriving in Australia, he told Sydney-based radio show The Kyle & Jackie O Show he “didn’t tip over” or “go upside down” at all during the flight from the US.
“You know they say the world is spinning? I’ve lived on a lake for 30 years and I’ve never seen the lake move to the left or right.”
We don’t have to debunk this, do we? Nope, because flat-Earthers already did that in documentary classic Behind the Curve.
